The Electric Bike Alliance

E-Bike Positive

The Electric Bike Alliance is a collective of organisations, charities and businesses working together to counteract misinformation and promote the safe use of e-bikes, batteries and chargers in the UK.

We aim to champion e-cycles as a safe, convenient, and healthy way to travel.

We intend to educate the British public about the risks of buying and using aftermarket lithium-ion batteries, chargers, and conversion kits.

And we passionately believe that armed with the right information to make better-informed, safer purchasing decisions, those who wish to ride an e-bike can buy with confidence and experience the many lifestyle benefits of riding legitimate, quality e-cycles.

Core members of the Electric Bike Alliance include:

  • Cycling UK - Cycling UK is the UK’s cycling charity. By providing skills, motivation, advice, and support, it works to enable everyone to live happier, healthier and greener lives through cycling.
  • The Bicycle Association - the national trade association for the UK cycle industry, whose membership includes major UK cycle and e-bike manufacturers, distributors, and retailers.
  • The Association of Cycle Traders - the largest cycle trade membership organisation in the UK which has been promoting cycling for over 100 years. The ACT represents the interests of circa 4,000 businesses involved in the UK cycle industry.
  • Bosch eBike Systems – Bosch eBike Systems is shaping the future of eBike mobility with innovative products and digital services ranging from highly efficient drive systems and the first series-ready ABS for eBikes to connected biking solutions.
